Botanicals Distilled started off as just a couple of blog posts about the key botanicals in making gin: juniper, coriander and angelica root. It is now a monthly post of all my favourite, and not so favourite, gin botanicals.

Each of the botanicals in the series I have distilled as a single distillation to appreciate the aroma and flavour uniquely without the ‘interference’ of other botanicals. It has enabled me to really get to understand how each botanical contributes to the overall flavour profile of a gin.

At over 40 botanicals in my library and counting, it has been a labour of love.
